Getting Sports News On Twitter
ByTwitter has many cool and many annoying aspects to it, but one of my favorites so far is my ability to follow some of my favorite sports writers and sports personalities on Twitter. With some of these sports writers ,if you don’t follow them on twitter you are missing have the conversation. Here are some of the best and why.
Bill Simmons: ESPN’s own Sportsguy was a late adapter of Twitter but has taken to it like Andy from Shawshank redemption took…. Just kidding, I don’t Bill to sue me if use his trademark Shawshank analogy. But he is at times very funny, and pretty open on Twitter. If you enjoy his columns at all, you will look forward to his tweets.
Peter King: Peter King loves Twitter. The NFL writer for Sports Illustrated engages fans and shares breaking news as well as letting followers know when his essential MMQB is up. King is the absolute King (pun intended) of the three to 4 tweet tweet. he shares so much news that he breaks into 3 o4 posts, but it is always interesting. Absolutely worth following.
Pro Foot ball Talk: Now this one is for the hardcores. I love Football, so I like to follow it, but man does Florio post a lot. Ihad to give him his own column in the Tweetdeck because of the volume of his posts. basically anything that goes up on ProFootballTalk.com gets posted on this twitter account. If it is this busy now I wonder what it will look like in season?
And if you only follow one athlete on Twitter make it THE_REAL_SHAQ. Shaquille O’Neal shares opinions, locations and news on his twitter feed and he is a funny man. He interacts with his audience and seems to really enjoy it.
So I’m sure I’m missing some great people, who are you following?
